The key to any success is in the planning, and a delivery voyage is no different! At Coastal Services we ensure that all relevant precautions are taken to minimize damage to the environment and prevent loss of life by following the passage-planning guidelines laid out by STCW*, MLC 2006** and IMO***.
* Standards of Training, Certification & Watch Keeping Convention 1995
** Maritime Labour Convention 2006
*** Annexe 25 - Guidelines For Voyage Planning - IMO Resolution A.893(21) - (And subsequent amendments)
Just like us, you want your vessel to get to its destination as quickly as possible.
It is essential that not only the vessel gets to its destination in one piece, but that the crew get there safely too (if that happens to be you then we want to make your experience as safe and enjoyable as possible). Not to mention that we aim to transit your vessel in the most economical way possible!
With the emphasis on accountability these days it is necessary that accurate records are maintained. We appreciate that you may not traveling on board, but you'll want to know your vessel is safely progressing to its destination. *Subject to availability of reliable communication links*, We will endeavour to text or email this information to you on a daily basis.
For those of you having your new boat delivered, why not come along on the delivery voyage of personal discovery on what we call an assisted passage and take advantage of some On Board Tuition while you travel to your vessel's destination. (For the duration of the delivery voyage, this tuition will be FREE!)
